I fear my old iBook needs replacing.
The new (Intel dual Core) MacBook: Worth it? Or go for a (end-of-run) iBook G4 12-inch instead? They're about the same size and it looks like the 13-inch MacBook is a loss leader as it's a lot less expensive than the larger versions.

I've dug out the original article that refers to the 'golluts' - in a Spanish magazine called 'Karma 7' from 1998. However one of the pictures in the article has me bemused at the moment. It's captioned 'Photograph taken in 1938, showing 'Quico de les Vernedes', the last 'gollut' known to have lived'.

Only it can't have been taken in 1938. It shows a 1970s vintage yellow MG Midget with a Canary Islands registration. The car is parked near some kind of farmhouse and there is a very small man leaning on the door. He is probably only about 4 ft (120 cm) tall.

So the picture is a visual pun on the word 'midget'.

It might have something to do with the 'golluts' but the car is well post 1938.

I'm hoping to translate the article into English but I've now got myself sidetracked into finding out about this picture!
